KS1:  Meeting Mr Volk/ 1.5 hours/

“Come and meet Mr Magnus Volk, Brighton’s most famous Victorian scientist as he reflects on his life of inventions and his life by the sea. Ride the train and see inside the workshops”.

You can then independently visit the beach

Group Tours

Get more out of your visit by taking part in guided tours and talks, just choose from the menu below and contact us to make your booking.

Express Ticket

Join a tour guide to explore our Visitor Centre before riding the train to the end of the line and stopping off at our new Workshop on your return for a guided tour of the viewing gallery.

Minimum groups of 15

Visit lasts approx. 1 hour

£7 per person

Includes a return ticket to Black Rock.

 

Saver Ticket

Get to grips with the history of Volk’s Electric Railway with a tour of our Visitor Centre & Workshop before attending a special talk covering a topic of your choice at the Visitor Centre.

Minimum groups of 15

Visit lasts approx.. 1.5 hours

£10 per person

Includes a return ticket to Black Rock.

1st Class Ticket

Explore the Visitors Centre and Workshop with your own guide before stopping at Magnus Volk’s 130 year old office for a private tour. After your tours and train ride a special talk covering a topic of your choice will take place at the Visitor Centre.

Minimum groups of 10

Visit lasts approx. 2 hours

£15 per person

Includes a return ticket to Black Rock
