FAQs

Train capacity

The maximum capacity is 35 passengers, including group leaders and teachers.

How do I qualify for the school rate discount?

A minimum of 10 school children is required to receive school rates.

How do I qualify for the group rate discount?

Group rates apply to parties of 10 or more.
Please note: we only accept pre‑bookings for groups of 15+.
Groups of 10–14 can still receive the group rate, on the day of traveling, if one person pays for the entire booking and only one ticket type is purchased (e.g., 10 Adult Returns).

Our group is larger than the train capacity

If your group exceeds 35 passengers, please include the total number of attendees on the booking form.
We will split your group into 2 or 3 smaller parties, traveling on the next available double train (departures every 25–30 minutes).

We don’t have confirmed numbers or our group size has changed

No problem! Please provide an estimated number when booking, as long as your original number doesn’t change to exceed the train’s capacity of 35.
On the day of travel, the cashier will confirm the final number with the group leader.
Payment is only taken on the day or after, depending on your chosen method.

Payment Method

You can either pay by card on the day of the trip or invoice, sent soon after the trip is complete.

Risk assessment and public liability insurance

A copy of the risk assessment and public liability insurance will be sent via email, once the trip has been confirmed.

How often do group trains run?

Our double train departs:
Black Rock Station: at quarter past and quarter too (e.g. 12:15, 12:45)
Aquarium Station: on the hour and half past (e.g. 12:00, 12:30)
