Are you a Volk’s Electric Railway or train enthusiast, who is always keen to learn and ask questions about engineering and your favourite cars History. Volk’s Electric Railway is now offering behind the scenes accessibility friendly tours of the sheds.
What will happen
- You will visit our workshop and train shed
- A member of staff will talk about the railway
- You will see the trains up close
- You can ask questions at any time
- The visit is calm and unhurried
There is no rush.
You can take breaks when you need them.
Who is this for
Accessible Wednesdays are for:
- Disabled people
- People who find train travel difficult
- People who need quiet or extra support
- Carers and support workers
Carers and support workers are very welcome free of charge.

Shed tours price
- £7.00 per person, carers free.
- Please note this event doesn’t include a train ticket. If you would like to ride Volk’s Electric Railway before or after the tour, you can purchase your train ticket from any of our station
- Payment to be made on the day
- Card payment only
